Anyone who has retired from the military (USA or Canadaian Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines or Navy) who has at least 20 years of service and has a retired military ID qualifies for retired military cruise discounts. Typically proof of eligibility has to be supplied to the cruise line within 48 hours of booking or the cruise line reserves the right to reprice your booking at the public discount. Some lines allow spouses/widows of retired military to travel at the retired military cruise discount with proof of eligibilty.

When Can You Get the Best Retired Military Cruise Discount?

This will vary by cruise line but typically the fall offers the lowest retired military cruise rates and largest retired military cruise discounts. If you can travel at the last minute often some of the cruise lines may offer exceptional values. Many times though, these retired military cruise discounts are cruise only and do not include airfare. Some cruise lines offer retired military cruise discounts several months in advance, while others will only offer retired military cruise discounts a few weeks in advance. Sometimes this also varies by time of year, with low season having more advance notice than high season.

To get your user name and password either email a request from a .mil email address or fax them at 817 488-6291 proof of eligibility such as a copy of your DD214, retired military ID or a letter verifying your duty status on military letterhead. If you fax them please clearly print your email address on the fax so they can respond with your user name and password.

ALL PERSONS traveling by air outside of the United States are required to present a passport or other valid travel document to enter or re-enter the United States. LAND AND SEA TRAVEL. The proposed rules require most U.S. citizens entering the United States at sea or land ports of entry to have a passport, passport card, or WHTI-compliant document. Note: The passport requirement does NOT apply to U.S. citizens traveling to or returning directly from a U.S. territory. Non-U.S. citizens should contact the consulates or embassies of the countries visited regarding the proper documentation necessary for travel.
